This is from RFK (Robert F. Kennedy) who happens to be my favorite Kennedy. I love to quote the saying that “no amount of success at work can make up for failure at home” but when I came across this RFK speech it is now one more favorite when it comes to not just family but also love of country.

RFK was asked “What makes life worthlife?” and this was his answer “the health of our children, the quality of their education, the joy of their play” he added “the strength of our marriages…our devotion to our country” and our “wit…wisdom and courage.” He then pointed out that none of these could be measured  by gross national product.
